havin' a ball

So the last post was a nearly Simone-free zone. Here is the Simone version of our week. :)

Five years on...we're now three:


Simone loves to go grocery shopping. I guess this leads to kids liking to play house?


Yes, yes, my daughter has inherited my sweet tooth:


The benches at the High Line "emerged" from the "tracks" but they were a perfect apparatus for all the visiting children:

Simone's first time in a bathing suit! We went to the park with our neighbor's girl and played in the fountains.


We forgot to bring a pail or anything to play with, so I gave her my water bottle...which of course she uses in its proper function!


She did find other kids' toys to play with. One family was really strict about not letting anyone use their kids' toys. Hey, don't bring it if you're not willing to share!

Our little monkey has strong arms! She also likes to hang from the bar at the top of the slide (dangerous!) and show off for us.


We've been having lots of (sandy) play dates. Here is one with our friend Makeila:


One of Simone's latest things is jumping practice. The Baby Center update we got a couple of weeks ago said it would be a few more months before she can "really" jump. I don't know - I think she's doing a pretty good approximation. :)



After the puppet show (Sleeping Beauty) we saw in the park today, they had golfing "lessons" for the kids. Simone actually dragged me over there! Like the crooked bang job? :)
