Noemi is sixteen months old! She is a full-fledged toddler.
- She gets excited about things, waves her hands in the air, and I may be imagining things, but says "yay!"
- It's funny what excited her - everything from finding her pacifier (which I've taken to snatching from her mouth, a game itself, and hiding) to seeing those famous golden arches (I'm hoping this wasn't for real...if it is I blame our NYC road trip).
- She still wakes up many nights. I know that when I pick her up and she arches her back it's the sign for "put me right back down."
- She is a thrower. This includes things like balls. This also includes anything she's done with - like food or unwanted toys.
- She has a very purposeful walk. Sometimes she looks like a drunken sailor. Other times, a cowboy at high noon.
- She has a mind of her own. Her favorite thing to do is shake her head no.
- She is great at playing independently (more than her sister these days...developmental thing, I'm sure).
- She can be a total cheeseball for the camera.
- She likes using a fork and finally learned how to drink from a straw.
- She asks to get her diaper changed with the smallest wetting. Yes, I should probably try to potty train her.
- She has a sweet tooth like her mama and sis.
- She "prays."
- She says please and thank you.
- She likes to pretend to talk on the phone and say "hello."
- She loves puppies.
- She brings over her shoes/boots and wants to go out.
- She likes to play with electronics i.e. S's leapster letter pad, the phone, laptop/mouse, etc.
Just looking cute at the Morton Arboretum:
Really enjoyed "riding" S's scooter with mommy's help...she similar bicycle post below...hmm, this bodes for what?
One day entered the mudroom and came across N with this:
For a while, this was the best game ever to her...getting herself "trapped" in the play room and pressing her face against the door. When we freed her she just shut herself back in.
Love for bags and carrying things that can hold other things:
I think biting her bottle nipple is as good as a pacifier to her...not surprisingly, haven't successfully weaned her off the bottle, yet, either:
Mama love on the pier; she really likes riding on your shoulders:
Cute toes at the beach:
Love this mini-series of her joy at riding S's bike and her disappointment at having to get off:
Trying to peel an orange:
Still loves to brush her teeth:
Her introduction to Sprinkles cupcakes - her preference is chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, totally giving back the other flavors when given them to try.
Finally cut the back of her hair...bye, bye wavy locks!
Open house at the Cheney Mansion in town - admiring the Xmas lights:
Cute towel photo:
At the Oak Park Conservatory...N and the parrot, George, had quite the conversation...actually, their voices were almost identical.
N with her godmother and mei-mei:
