Yesterday, Simone and I had a fun outing with Na May while Noemi stayed home with Daddy. We went ice skating at Wollman Rink in Central Park - the classic place to skate in NYC. Last year Simone tried skating for the first time with me at Bryant Park, and she was excited to go again, especially, as she told me, she wasn't three any more so she would be better.
Getting ready to hit the ice aka waiting for the Zamboni to finish:
Making a splash! Simone was great - she got right back up when she fell, never wanted to take a break but wanted to keep going, and by the end was doing really well! She started off holding both of our hands but by the end was willing to try small stretches by herself.
We skated for about an hour and then decided our feet were sore. A pink cotton candy, a hot dog, and piggy back ride were all in order.
S was also inspired by her new Figure Skating Dora doll - thank you for the early Christmas present Grandma and Granddad!
