A belated post as we were in transition from NYC to Oak Park during Noemi's ten-month birthday:

No bear photo this month, but this gives an idea of how long she's getting:

One of her favorite things to put in her mouth is strawberries, here double-fisted:

Oh, and she loves to eat shoes, usually other people's:

Love putting barrettes in those wavy locks. These days she can stand on her own for a few seconds at a time.

She learned to crawl! For a while we thought she might go straight to walking. Her favored style is the peg-leg crawl. More recently, she can be seen with both knees on the ground.

Since last month we quickly had to lower her crib to the lowest level:

Flirting with the boyfriend of one of E's co-workers at brunch:

Is in that pulling everything down/out stage. "What's going on here?!"

As it not unheard of, can be entertained with cell phones, keys, and wallets of various styles:

Simone loves to make her laugh...a recent game is peek-a-boo from around various rooms/furniture.

We brought her to Simone's gym class finale and let Coach James give her a whirl on the bar...not quite sure what hit her.

This is how she gets to know new people - grabs various face parts.

What else....
- She just started being able to hold the sippy cup and attempt to drink from it herself.
- Just started (this being July 10th I guess these might count more under the 11-month update) making the milk sign via baby sign language.
- Likes to play with things, but not necessarily the next time you give it to her (kind of wishing she had sure-fire favorites other than wallet, keys, etc.).
- Likes to clap.
- Her hair is getting so long. I don't really want to cut it but I should at least try to clip it every day.
- Is now sharing a room with S in our new place.
- Likes to look at books.
- Lets you know when she wants/likes something, like the three-way teeter-totter at the playground today.
- Won't give the time of day to cheerios or mum-mums anymore. In addition to strawberries, she likes pasta, cheese...and ice cream. :P
- E says she's the loudest baby and is so active he "wonders if she's really a boy."
- The pacifier doesn't work its magic as well anymore.
