Going to sheep shearing day at a local gourmet farm - S is very good at making animal sounds. I think her least favorite part of the day was being around all the chickens who pecked at us and had poop all over the place. Her favorite part - the sheep and maybe the pigs? The poop thing is funny - sometimes we have to whip out the travel potty. We did it on the grass across the street from our place and there were dog droppings everywhere! Our neighbors apparently are not so good at "curbing" their dogs. Now S doesn't want to use the portable potty on any spot of grass!

Having a sporty barbecue with the cousins - it was like the kids didn't know what to do with so much open space!

A couple of S's good friends, Addie and Makeila, both part of our EPC community.

What else has been going on...trying to add something not just about Simone!!!!
- Just one more week of senior classes! We're doing final presentations and tsk, tsk, two seniors had the audacity not to show up to class on their presentation days! E just has to give his final and he'll be done with his psych class, too. We're looking forward to a more relaxed summer.
- A couple of the ladies at church have started some of the rest of us on quilting. It's fun! I've already picked up some cute fabrics for all these fabulous quilts I'm going to make. :) Looking at patterns and fabrics on-line is quite addicting.
- We went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago - a young couple from our church. I think it might be our only one this year? That certainly says something about our cohort. The highlights other than the bride and groom were getting to catch up with an old LA friend now living in England (married to the groom's sister) and falling off the riser while holding Simone in a group photo (we were both okay!).
- Lots of schools are having spring fairs - S enjoys the face painting, bouncy houses, and cotton candy (at least at the one this morning!); Mom is a sucker for the rummage sales. :)
- Been watching: Mad Men, Season 3; Damages, Season 2
