Thursday Simone and I (and Ezer joined us late) went to our first Maundy Thursday service (focuses on the last supper and footwashing). Simone was really good and well behaved. I was also impressed by how she greeted everyone with "Peace" and "Peace to you," everyone that is but the priest who was in his robes.
Saturday Simone and I went to a Easterfest at a local city park. The egg hunt was high up on the hill with lots of big kids so we just took the opportunity to get in the balloon man line.

Did I mention it was a gorgeous day? It's been a great, sunny, warm week:

Sunday we enjoyed service at church, Simone did get to participate in her first egg hunt, and we co-hosted a potluck brunch with our friends Wendy and Ali.
Ready and....

go!

My contributions: ham, smoked salmon, and deviled eggs - yum.

I love this season. It brings me back to the cross, back to Christ, and causes me to reflect on my relationship to both.
