seattle so far

Simone and I have had a wonderful time here in Seattle visiting a good friend from college and her family. Yay for spring break!

Simone is turning into quite the frequent flier - Seattle is her sixth via plane trip, this is her fourth time flying just the two of us, and we just sent in her passport application last week.

A cookie always helps the time pass while waiting to get on the plane.

We lucked out and via a couple seat changes due to a couple wanting to sit together and an empty emergency row seat for our seatmate we ended up while an aisle seat and an empty middle.

I was curious to see how Simone would interact spending several days with both older (Gabriel is 2 1/2) and younger (Fiona is 6 months) playmates. She's getting good sharing lessons, is no pushover, has enjoyed coop bath time, and is still a bit possessive about her mom.

S helped Gabriel appreciate the joys of taking a bath in the big tub!

Saturday was a beautiful sunny day - perfect for going to the zoo:

We definitely need to get some of those Gymboree bubbles. They are sooo strong - see the multitudes that landed on the sofa? Some of them lasted until the next afternoon!

It's a bubble party!

Sunday we visited Quest Church and had lunch with friends La Verne and Jack. The highlight for Simone was meeting Bora, their rabbit.

Last night was girls night out (thanks, Cam!) and Jen and I enjoyed dinner on the town. Today we went to Gymboree class and had a nice after-dinner walk. We have one more day and then it's back to NYC. I'm glad we're here - there really is no substitute for seeing good friends in person.
