Some funny comments from Metafilter.com on McCain's VP pick, Sarah Palin. Btw, it's his bday today, too!
Sarah and Todd Palin have five children: boys Track, 19, and Trig, 4 months, and daughters Bristol, 17, Willow, 13, and Piper, 7.
Dear GOD! Vice Presidents don't get to NAME anything, do they?!

"Senator McCain, where is your VP candidate from?"
"Alaska"
"No, I'm asking YOU the question, Senator."

Via Politico:
Larry Kudlow of CNBC’s “Kudlow & Co.” asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain's ticket mate.
Palin replied: “As for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.”

Written a while back...
On the drive up to camp (just me and S in the car), we almost ran out of gas. I was seriously sweating it. The zip car came with just a quarter tank. I thought I could make it all the way up but this is the newer Scion xB and mileage isn't as good! I was avoiding filling the tank because in the past we've had some issues with filling up zip cars and silly me wanted to wait and let E do it. But then the light came on, and I was on a stretch of highway where gas stations were few and far between. At first I didn't even see any signs for rest stops. Finally, there was one. I drove soooo slow to save gas. For most of the way I was behind a slow yellow school bus. I felt a bit bad for all the cars having to go around us but oh well, better that than stranded. I will never do that again--especially with baby in tow!
I am amazed at Lucy Liu's resiliency. She's always popping back up. After her short-lived series Cashmere Mafia gets canceled and she shows up on Dirty Sexy Money this season.

The Stuff Korean Moms Like Blog I linked to on the side is SO FUNNY. :)
