I have such good friends. I have not had just one, but two offers for home-cooked meals. Both friends even offered to come over and bring food/cook here due to Simone's early sleep schedule. E remarked that no one offered to cook him food when I was out of town. Well, you know, I guess that says something. :)
I am dead, but S is in such a cute, playful mood at 6am. I manage to open my eyes once in a while and she laughs. Our big outing of the day was Target. Our girl loves the subway. She does the bird flap when she sees the train approaching the platform. Then she wants to stand on the seat and face the window so she can peer out and bag on the top of the seat.
Last night I stayed up to type up my schedule for first semester, intro to psych. It's done--pat on the back!
The NY Times reports "More Women Than Ever Are Childless, Census Finds." Of women 40-44, twenty percent have no children. For those with a graduate or professional degree that rises to twenty-seven percent. The average number of children for those who have any is 1.9 versus 3.1 in 1976. Thirty-six percent of those who gave birth in 2006 were never married, widowed, or divorced, five percent living with a partner. I always find these kind of numbers interesting. Because my circle includes many Christians, I think there is a greater percentage of child-bearing among those I know. But I do see the ages rising, and the number of children shrinking. Out of my circle of college friends, I can only think of one who might have more than two. My church circle of acquaintances is bucking the trend (maybe because accidental thirds aren't aborted?) - I know four women having/had number three this year.
Apparently, to have a chance to win this dress I need to post a link!
