HB Pier

This year the annual Halim Christmas beach/pier walk was in jeopardy. After our dim sum lunch my parents wanted to visit some friends so we agreed to meet them at home before heading out to the beach. But we never made it past home as one relative after another (didn't we just see you guys last night?) came to visit. Oh well, my parents enjoyed themselves and we made it to the beach at the 11th hour...just an hour before sunset on our last day in California which was also the last day of the year. I had to fulfill my promise after all to show Simone a California beach!

Ah, palm trees in the winter--I love it.

Someone's excited for her first peek at the Pacific!

Don't we have a glow about us? :)

Say "hi," Simone!

Missing the City?

Beautiful May--taking a break from her new hard contact lenses

Grandpa with his beloved bike helmet...he dropped Grandma off, parked far away and then biked to the pier to meet us!

Grandma with her ubiquitous sunglasses

The whole gang's here (well, minus Joy)

wow, the first Halim beach at dusk Christmas day pictures. The light is nice, just doesn't have that Christmas morning feeling though.
