Some photos from this month...incidentally, I misplaced our camera battery charger and finally broke down and got a new one...
Simone had Specials Night at her school - singing songs from music, Spanish class, etc. I think there was even a gym-themed one!
It was packed and hot. At least they let the kindergarteners go first. It also happened to be Teacher Appreciation Night at Chipotle (buy one get one free with teacher ID) with a line out the door!
It was also National Fitness week and Simone participated in the district's fun run. K-2 ran a half mile loop. Here is Simone doing warm-ups.
And showing off her finisher's ribbon. Go Simone!
We celebrated Mother's Day a day early as Ezer had Wheaton commencement activities on Sunday. After a fun time at the Children's Museum (Mother's Day?) we had BBQ for lunch in downtown Naperville.
Now that I'm not teaching Mondays they've become fun outing days. The first Monday we went to MSI (free day!) and this Monday we went to the Shedd (member reserved Stingray time). We did see some penguins and jellyfish, but the highlight of our morning was watching all three 4-D movies they offered, Dora, Ice Age, and Natl Geographic. Noemi loved them, especially Dora!
It was a gorgeous spring day. Sometimes people say Noemi and I look alike and I don't really see it, but there might be some resemblance in this photo. :)
Today was our last regular BSF discussion group day. Unfortunately, we're missing half of or group i this photo but it was a good year!
Some of the leaders with young children got together for lunch afterward. This is Noemi with her so-called boyfriend, Amos, from her class. Apparently they spend class holding hands.
If Monday was a spring day, today was a summer day! Definitely warm enough for ice cream and a dip in the fountain.
We got a My Gym groupon to use before we leave for our travels. I've got two very able monkeys on my hands.
I can't believe we have just over two weeks before we leave for Thailand/California!!!
