Give me an S!

(Also posted on Facebook but I know some of my faithful readers aren't on it)

S: Are we going to be here when I turn 5?
M: I think so.
S: I want to live here forever...
M: You really like it here?
S:...and fly to New York
M: And California!

I think more adjusted than I am!

I asked her if she preferred the subway or car...subway wins out according to her.

We tell her not to play with her food but this was just too cute:

Went to the Fall Festival at Cantigny...sooo crowded. We did wait in line for a few attractions...

...before we waited for 90 minutes in the face painting line! I am definitely buying a kit for home. The stubborn girl was determined...by the time we got to the front they were only doing small quickie painting and not the elaborate bigger ones they'd been doing before.

Making herself comfy while we cheered on the runners at the Chicago Marathon and looked for Dad.

How awesome is it that the family room at the Art Institute doesn't require museum admission...a cool place to rest before meeting E at the finish line.

Other S happenings:

- Has really not been wanting to go to BSF or Chinese school...just regular school. Today she asked me to stay and watch her in Chinese school so I did but that's it!

- Heard her friend's mom was sick and wanted to pray for her and make a card for her.

- Is really into these Perler beads (first introduced by our friend Leslie). We got a partial bucket from a yard sale but are getting to the bottom of the barrel.

- Really does want to take a nap but still could really use one.

- Is getting better at tracking days of the week. Every day at her school she stamps what the day's weather is on her personal month's map.

- Her new favorite is Kai-Lan. Her old thermos finally bit the dust so we got her this one.

- Has developed a new love for Wendy's.

- Has been searching high and low with me for a fairy costume for Halloween.

So glad you keep up the blog for the non-FB folks. :) It's nice to catch a peek at your lives. Simone seems to have grown up so much lately. Praying for continued adjustment for you all!
