Five weeks

Oh how time flies...I do have a photos of Noemi next to Nigel the bear (as I did with Simone each month her first year) but they are still to be downloaded.

I love seeing how Noemi is developing. Her cries now are purposeful. She definitely lets you know when she doesn't want to eat anymore. Her looks are (well, can be) intent. Yesterday it seemed like she smiled several times. She continues to sleep well...once you get her to sleep. Sometimes it's easy peasy and other times...not. The pediatrician said she didn't need to come in again after two weeks until her two month appointment. I tried to do the weigh yourself with and without baby method to see how much she's gained - my estimate is that she's now nine pounds (started out 7 lbs, 4 oz). She had her first snotty nose yesterday. :( When she cries now there are real tears. Her favorite position is upright curled up against your chest. We've gotten her on the pacifier - if it works at least sometimes, then mission accomplished. She into her 3 month clothes now - getting ready to start the shedding process starting with her newborn clothes (Ezer will be very happy about that). How is it that all babies (or is it just mine) sometimes do that crying, pulling their own hair thing? But what do bald babies do? She makes cute little sounds - sometimes it seems like she's talking back. She is precious.
