Vacation...a time to get your life organized. I spent this morning locating and importing a few hundred photos on my computer which had "disappeared" when I did some funny thing with account names.
Vacation...a time to work. I went to school this afternoon for three hours and finished grading the test I gave to my students before break.
Vacation...a time to bake. I made the first place recipe in this year's Cooking Light content--Lemon Scented Blueberry Cupcakes. Thumbs up from the hubby.
Vacation...a time to catch up and reflect. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I have tons still to do but decided I needed a day of rest. So I'm having breakfast with a friend, getting my hair cut, and catching up with my journal.
Things to do: revise the journal article that got rejected (not a surprise) so we can submit it elsewhere; write survey questions based on what we've learned from the diversity focus groups; look up what other schools have done in terms of faculty development workshops to inspire the ones I'll be helping coordinate this spring, and oh yes, prepare to teach my class.
Proud of myself moment: no wimping out when I came home from school and realized there was a mouse caught in the glue trap. If it wasn't two hours before E came home I might have left it but I made myself dispose of it.

Whoa - v impressive Jannie. How exactly did you 'dispose' of it? I like your photos. - May
Sorry about the journal submission. :( That sucks. I'm sure you'll find another journal to publish in. -May
