A good reminder today when I discovered I'd forgotten the butter on the lid of my chili (I was "softening" it) and that I'd accidentally left out an egg I cracked (how did it end up OUTSIDE the bowl and how did I not realize this until AFTER I'd already put the muffins in the oven).
I semi-successfully ran my first computer lab experiment with my students today after much angst. Hopefully it will go better tomorrow. Just picture me going around the room with two flash drives loading everyone's computer.
And it rained.
And I had a house rules and policies committee meeting and it was at 6:30pm and not 7:30pm like I had thought. The chair called me and I said I'd be right down. Then I called back and said, make that 5 minutes because I have something in the oven.
The new TV show Heroes has promise.
And the concert last night by the Julliard Jazz Orchestra featuring all Benny Goodman music was enjoyable. You think the students are good, and they are. But then you hear the artistic director of Julliard's jazz program play and you're like wow. E and I used to joke we wanted our favorite jazz guitarist, Frank Vignola, to play at our wedding. Last night I leaned over..."If we ever get married again..." This guy, Victor Goinese played the clarinet. The clarinet is not the sexiest instrument but hey, he was good. All the songs last night made me want to dance. So I switched dinner with a friend to dinner and dancing with a friend for this weekend.
Also this weekend in Parents' Day at school. It should be interesting to meet some of my students' parents.
Okay, time to wash the dishes, which I've been procrastinating because I'm just that tired.
